Robert Davis (1883-1967) was a member of the War and Social Order Committee and went on to become the author of books on Quaker worship, the history of the Quaker peace testimony, and the history of Woodbrooke. He gave one of the more “theological” talks to the Committee, on the teachings of Jesus and the social order.
