Quakers in Britain have a book, or sometimes books, of discipline, which are the collected wisdom of the community and are revised in full roughly every generation. The current book of discipline, Quaker faith & practice, was approved in 1994.
At the time of the Foundations, the Book of Christian Discipline was published as three volumes, ‘Christian Doctrine’, ‘Christian Practice’ and ‘Church Government’. The first revision after the acceptance of the Foundations was in 1921, and the text of the Foundations was included. Some further notes on the history of the books of discipline can be found in the Introduction to Quaker faith & practice.
